We built EtchedQR because we were tired of "free" QR codes that mysteriously stop working after 14 days, demanding a monthly subscription just to keep your links alive.

Most QR code generators on the internet don't actually give you a QR code for your website. Instead, they encode a tracking link (like qr-sc.an/123xyz) that redirects to your website. This lets them harvest analytics, track your users, and most importantly—hold your printed materials hostage if you stop paying them.

EtchedQR encodes your exact URL directly into the matrix of the code. There is no middleman, no redirect server, and no tracking script. When someone scans an EtchedQR code, their phone's camera reads your exact domain and takes them directly there.
